Carla Brian shares new Biffa research
The UK is only at the beginning of its journey to circularity. When we refer to 'the circular economy', we're referring to a fraction of the UK's material economy. Our economy and infrastructure have grown around a linear system of material consumption. Improving circularity means first understanding it, which takes data and collaboration. Working with consultancy partner WSP, we have developed a new approach to circularity research and analysis. Carla shares the outcomes.
Maxine Mayhew hosts our Material Flow panel
Business leaders from manufacturing, retail and policy explore what the "new age" of waste management looks like. Discussing how upcoming changes can be anticipated and managed effectively, facilitating a smoother transition for all stakeholders involved. Our panel included Jim Fox - Head of Public Affairs at Coca-Cola, Owen McLellan - Managing Director at Company Shop Group, Natalie Verner - Senior Sustainability and Environmental Policy Executive, and Steve Vaughan-Jones - Technical Director at consultancy WSP.
