Recyclable coffee cups: Solutions for single-use

We’ve launched the first nationwide, fully ‘own wheels’ solution to collect and recycle fibre-based single-use cups on our own fleet through our own waste handling network.

Despite more than 3.2 billion single-use cups being thrown away in the UK each year, only 2.8% are recycled.

To help solve this issue, Biffa’s new 100% ‘own wheels’ service finally provides businesses of all types with a consistent solution to recover and recycle cups across the entire mainland UK, transforming them into new packaging material and keeping them away from incineration or landfill, closing the recycling loop and supporting the circular economy.
